This Privacy Policy explains how InsureCalcPro (“we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, and shares information when you visit insurecalcpro.com. By using our Site, you agree to the practices described below.

1. Information We Do Not Collect

InsureCalcPro is a free, client-side educational tool. We do not collect, store, transmit, or have access to any of the financial figures you enter into our calculator. All calculations are performed entirely within your own web browser using JavaScript. No debt amounts, income figures, mortgage balances, education estimates, or calculated coverage totals are ever sent to our servers or to any third party.

We do not require you to create an account, and we do not request or store any personally identifiable information (PII) such as your name, address, date of birth, Social Security number, financial account numbers, or health information.

2. Information Collected Automatically

Like virtually all websites, our servers may automatically receive and record certain standard technical information when your browser accesses the Site. This may include:

  • Your Internet Protocol (IP) address (used to determine your approximate geographic region)
  • Browser type and version
  • Operating system and device type
  • The referring URL (the page that linked you to our Site)
  • Pages visited, time of visit, and time spent on pages
  • Clickstream data and interactions with page elements

This information is collected in aggregate and is used solely to understand how visitors use the Site so we can improve its performance and content. It is not used to identify individual users.

3. Cookies and Tracking Technologies

Cookies are small text files that a website places on your device to store information about your preferences or browsing session. InsureCalcPro uses cookies for two primary purposes: site analytics and third-party advertising.

3.1 Analytics Cookies

We may use analytics tools (such as Google Analytics) to understand aggregate traffic patterns and usage behavior. These tools use cookies to collect anonymous data about how visitors navigate our pages and are not used to personally identify you.

3.2 Advertising Cookies

InsureCalcPro may display third-party advertisements in the future. If advertising is enabled, ad networks such as Google AdSense may use cookies (including the DoubleClick DART cookie) to show ads based on your prior visits to this and other sites. You may opt out of interest-based advertising at google.com/settings/ads or via aboutads.info/choices.

3.3 Managing Your Cookie Preferences

You can control or disable cookies through your web browser settings. Disabling cookies may affect certain features and limit the relevance of any advertisements you see.

4. How We Use the Information We Collect

Any aggregate, non-personal information we receive is used for the following limited purposes:

  • To monitor and improve the technical performance, speed, and stability of the Site
  • To understand which pages and features are most useful to our visitors
  • To diagnose and troubleshoot technical errors
  • To display advertising through Google AdSense
  • To comply with applicable legal obligations

We do not sell, rent, trade, or otherwise transfer any information about you to third parties for their own marketing purposes.

5. Third-Party Links and Services

Our Site may contain links to external websites and may display advertisements that link to third-party sites. These sites have their own independent privacy policies, and we have no responsibility or liability for their content or privacy practices.

6. Children’s Privacy

InsureCalcPro is not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe your child has provided us with information, please contact us at contact@insurecalcpro.com and we will promptly delete such information.

7. Data Security

Since we do not collect personally identifiable information or financial data from calculator users, there is no sensitive user data stored on our servers that could be compromised. We employ industry-standard HTTPS encryption for all data transmitted between your browser and our servers.

8. Your Privacy Rights

Depending on your location, you may have certain rights under applicable law:

  • California Residents (CCPA): Right to know what personal information is collected, right to request deletion, right to opt out of the sale of personal information. We do not sell personal information.
  • European Users (GDPR): Rights of access, rectification, erasure, and the right to object. Our data minimization approach satisfies most GDPR obligations.
  • Opt-Out of Personalized Ads: Use the tools described in Section 3 of this policy.

To exercise any of your rights, contact us at contact@insurecalcpro.com.
